Lilleshall 5 Mile

Wednesday 8th saw the start of the Sexarathon series with the Lilleshall 5 Mile race, and it was great to see a good turnout from the Shufflers, seventeen in total!

On a lovely sunny spring evening the records tumbled! Paul Bowes continued his recent excellent form with another V45 record. He beat the previous 5 mile record by nearly a minute with a fantastic time of 29:50.

The previous ladies V55 was also beaten twice. Liz Hird finished in 39:56 but was pipped to the finish by Gail Clayton who now holds the record with a great time of 39:45.

Well done to all.

Club Championships

Easter is here and that means Chocolate and Championships. The initial listing for the 2015 club champs is on the website, but before we add any actual results, please take a look here and make sure that your name is there as once we start adding data it is tricky to add extra names, although spelling mistakes can be corrected. Deadline for this is 15th April after which the names list is cast in concrete for the year. If your name is not on the spreadsheet or you spot any errors please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Colin.

Berlin Half Marathon

Well done to Paul and Susan Bowes who both took part in the Berlin Half Marathon on Sunday 29th March.

Particular congratulations must go to Paul who has beaten the long standing Shufflers MV45 record with a fanastic time of 1:22:48. The previous record had stood since 1992 which shows how well Paul had to run to beat it!

Hill Training Sessions 2015

With the evenings now drawing out nicely myself & Liz are looking to start the hill sessions off again in the near future for those interested.
